Shahar was awarded "Woman of the Year in Press in 2009". She received the prize "Key Person in Media" at the ceremony of the Israeli Organization of Public Relations and Spokespeople.
The decision of the "Israeli Organization of Public Relations and Spokespeople" to bestow "Key Person in Media" to the tennis player star Shahar Peer was given as a result of her praise of Israel's name and image all over the world.
